Speech Contest: Your Voice, Shaping the World

,

December 2, 2025

We’re excited to announce the 2026 Speech Contest, jointly hosted by WiN Korea and the Korean Nuclear Society (KNS) as part of the 33rd WiN Global Annual Conference. This year, the contest theme is: The Future of Nuclear Energy.

We’re looking for young communicators and storytellers who can bring nuclear topics to life—clearly, creatively, and in ways that engage the public.

This is a unique opportunity for young women in the nuclear field to share their ideas, shine on an international stage, and help shape the future of nuclear energy through the power of storytelling.

Participants may explore any aspect of nuclear energy, including:

  • Global nuclear issues
  • SMRs and Gen-IV reactors
  • AI applications
  • Radiation and nuclear safety
  • International cooperation
  • Or any innovative idea that inspires you! Feel free to explain scientific concepts, propose solutions, or imagine bold pathways forward—your perspective matters.

Who Can Participate & Prizes

This contest is open to global (under)graduate female students who major in nuclear engineering or related disciplines, or who demonstrate a strong academic interest in nuclear-related fields. Participants will compete for the following awards:

  • Grand Prize of $2,000 (1 winner)
  • Excellence Award of $1,500 (2 winners)
