WiN Peru brings together professionals working in the nuclear sector, including industry, academia, and research, contributing both technical and management expertise.

Founded in 2020, our organization aims to reduce the existing gender gap by encouraging and promoting the participation of women in this field. We value their work and advocate for equity across various sectors within the nuclear industry.We strive to encourage the participation of new generations in nuclear sciences, firmly believing that interdisciplinarity and cultural diversity will enrich the different lines of development in the sector.

Leadership

Patrizia Pereyra - Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú

Patrizia has over 30 years of experience in nuclear research, monitoring radon and other sources of natural radioactivity in our environment. She currently leads a Ionizing Radiation Research Group and has participated in numerous research projects. She also has been actively involved in initiatives to encourage women to pursue STEM careers. A member of WiN Peru, Patrizia is convinced that gender-diverse and interdisciplinary teams achieve excellent results.
