About the conference

WiN was growing fast. National groups of Japan, Korea and USA were established and offered seats on the WiN Global Board. The 5th WiN Award was presented to Dr. Svetlana Vastchenko of Belarus for her dedicated work to develop public understanding about nuclear technology through articles, debates and other public material. Open and honest communication with scientific accuracy and via public dialogue about three key issues (radiation, safety, sustainable environment) was defined as the aim of WiN.
