Women have shaped the world of science with innovation and dedication, yet their achievements often go unnoticed. This International Women’s Day, our members celebrate their resilience, amplify their voices, and reaffirm our commitment to equality.

Throughout history, women have always been an essential part of science, making extraordinary contributions to the nuclear sector. However, their names and achievements have often remained unseen.
Moreover, to truly advance, we must recognise that women’s career paths are often met with more obstacles, scrutiny, stereotypes, and biases—simply because they are women. Yet, time and again, they have proven their capabilities and resilience. It is crucial to continue building strategies that ensure they can participate on an equal footing with their peers in a field where women are still underrepresented—but determined to change that.
On 8 March, we commemorate women in nuclear energy by recognising and amplifying their impact, highlighting the milestones they have achieved despite these barriers.
Join us in this initiative by sharing, recognising, and celebrating women driving science and innovation in the nuclear sector.
Let’s prove every day that Science Advances with Women!
