WiN Global at the 2026 Nuclear Energy Summit

WiN Global recently participated in the 2026 Nuclear Energy Summit, held in Paris on 10 March. Co-hosted by the Government of France and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), this high-level event brought together leaders from more than 40 countries, alongside representatives from international organizations, industry, and financial institutions.

The summit provided an important platform to discuss the essential role of nuclear energy in addressing global challenges related to climate policy, energy security, and the growing demand for reliable electricity.

Key Conclusions from the Summit

  • Climate Action and Reliability
    Participants reaffirmed strong support for nuclear energy as a leading low-carbon source, essential both for combating climate change and ensuring a stable and reliable electricity supply.
  • Expanding Nuclear Capacity
    Countries reiterated their commitment to tripling global nuclear power capacity by 2050, with 38 nations now actively engaged in advancing this objective.
  • Mobilizing Investment
    The summit highlighted new public and private financing mechanisms to support nuclear projects, including a €200 million investment announced by the European Union, alongside renewed engagement from several banks and financial institutions.
  • Technological Innovation
    Significant attention was given to the development of **Small Modular Reactors> (SMRs), recognized for their potential to make nuclear energy more scalable, flexible, and cost-effective.
  • Strengthening International Cooperation
    Participants emphasized the need for closer international collaboration to harmonize regulatory frameworks and accelerate the deployment of new nuclear projects.
  • Powering the Digital Future
    Nuclear energy was also highlighted as one of the most suitable low-carbon solutions to meet the rapidly increasing and continuous energy demands of artificial intelligence and large-scale data centers.
